This lightweight building was built adjacent to a campus football training facility. Its role was to accommodate alumni events as well as be a gathering space for parents watching the football practice. As the building was to be stand alone but only a few meters from the school’s original buildings, we decided to give the Club House a unique character which would differentiate it and make it a reference point for the school’s alumni and social events. The use of timber as both structural and cladding material gives the Club House a friendly and homey atmosphere.
