The site is located on a busy intersection in the center of Casablanca. The brief was to design a new sustainable market whose architecture would reflect contemporary design tendencies. Our proposal draws inspiration from the spice stalls. It is a covered market in order to control environmental conditions but with big openings that allow circulation through it whether it is in use or not. Its organic form aims to make it a visually light structure that sits naturally on a site surrounded by high streets and buildings.
